At Fetchers we provide a complete package of services to grow and peak the relationship between dog and owner by providing dogs with great obedience. This results in more freedom on and off leash while educating owners on how to build trust in this freedom to benefit the dogs quality of life. We have been training dogs since 2010 and love to hear from our dog owners the differences they see in their dogs behavior after a training session or stay. Testimonials are on our reviews page! Our Fetchers family tag teams the training efforts to maximize the amount of sessions per day and to offer both a male and female perspective. At Fetchers, we train everything canine whether young and old dogs alike on general obedience, aggression, anxiety, jumping up, running off, potty training problems, hunting skills, and more! We use a balanced approach of both positive and negative reinforcement with repetition and well placed patience to achieve this patterned successful behavior. PROGRAMS

MEET AND GREET

Pricing: $30

We recommend a Meet and Greet before all of our training programs. This 30 minute session will allow you to meet the trainer and decide which training option is best for you and your dog.

1 HOUR TRAINING SESSION IN PERSON OR VIA ZOOM

$120/HOUR

A one hour training session can help get you and your dog back on track. It’s a jam packed informational session for the owner's benefit. The one hour session typically is laid out first by us listening to you about your situation, then providing immediate analytical advice, practical adjustments to owners current training program, and an education on proper methods and techniques that have been proven to benefit the situation. Also includes potty training education. Sometimes it’s just a small adjustment that is needed to get back on track! This is for the type of person that wants to spend the time working with their dog directly through multiple sessions each day. It’s up to you to apply the info you learn in the one hour session.

GROOMING DESENSITIZATION SERVICE

$70/DAY = $490 RECOMMENDED 7 DAYS

This service can help your dog become more comfortable with grooming services by gradually exposing your dog to situations they are uncomfortable with such as nail trims. This is an investment in their peacefulness while at the spa.

DAY TRAINING

Pricing: $65/day

Has your dog completed a board and train program or a one-on-one program with us at Fetchers? This program is designed for your dog to get in some extra training for the day to sharpen up some known skills, curve some new unwanted behaviors, and have a productive day for your dog. You can leave your dog with experienced trainers to help keep their basic obedience to keep their mind sharp and build off of their already built foundation of obedience.

If your dog has completed a different board and train program from a different facility, or has any aggression behaviors, please set up a Meet and Greet with a trainer to determine the best options for your dog.

Five 1-on-1 Program

PRICING: $550

A one-on-one program can be very beneficial to both you and your dog. This program offers step by step help into understanding the necessary commands and forming a solid foundation of obedience. You will also be working on the three D’s: Distance, Duration, and Distraction, all of which allow you, and your dog, to live a harmonious life. It's really about enjoying the time you spend with them.

Keep in mind 5 sessions are recommended but more are available! These sessions will help teach you the fundamentals of basic obedience and will be 90% of the owners work and 10% of the trainers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, do many exercises, and help curve many unwanted behaviors yourself.

1-on-1 sessions are not geared for heavy behavior modification for fearful/nervous dogs. Please book a Meet and Greet with a trainer at Fetchers for help with any of these particular behaviors. This will help us come up with a custom plan that will work best for your dog.

You will get 5 sessions that run 60 minutes each, once a week, for 5 consecutive weeks. This will also include the trainer giving you many different exercises and activities to do at home between the weeks.

3 WK GENERAL OBEDIENCE SCHOOLING

3 WEEKS – $2,300

For proficiency in general obedience where a pattern of overall cooperation in most situations is created for owners to appreciate and continue. 6+months old.

3 weeks of repetition based positive and negative reinforcement training. Correcting unwanted behaviors such as jumping, nipping, biting, leash pulling, digging, barking, lunging, chewing. Reinforcing and praising good behavior and learned skills. Approx 40-50 training sessions.
On leash obedience

Come, Back, Sit, Down, No, Kennel, Place
Daily socialization benefit – play, exercise, desensitization to all types of dogs, and rehabilitation from past negative experiences.

4 WK GENERAL OBEDIENCE SCHOOLING

4 WEEKS – $3,066

For proficiency in general obedience and/or for dogs that are fearful, anxious. stubborn or pushy behavior, & for low confidence dogs.

All tasks achieved in 3 week stay plus+
1 more week of repetition based positive and negative reinforcement training stopping unwanted behaviors. Approx 55-65 training sessions.

6 WK GENERAL OBEDIENCE SCHOOLING

6 WEEKS – $4,200

For proficiency in general obedience and/or for dogs with high level separation anxiety, leash reactivity, and kennel/food aggression.

All tasks achieved in the 4 week stay plus+
2 more weeks of repetition based positive and negative reinforcement training stopping unwanted behaviors. Approx 75-90 training sessions.
Crate training for dogs who break out of wire kennels
Feeding desensitization where otherwise aggressive/protective
Leash heel where otherwise lunging or intense pulling
1.5 hrs - private go home session at the end ensures a smooth transition from our home to yours!

8 WK GENERAL OBEDIENCE MASTERS PROGRAM

8 WEEKS – $5,600

For advanced proficiency in general ob and/or for dogs with stubbornness, timidness, psychological issues, & aggression.

All items achieved in 6 week stay plus+
2 more weeks of repetition based positive and negative reinforcement training stopping unwanted behaviors in more real world environments and reinforcing and praising good behavior and learned skills. Approx 15-25 more training sessions.
1 hr educational visitation around the 4 week mark by appointment
Public area training proofing
Down command proofing on and off leash at distances of 50 feet, durations of 30 minutes, distractions with other dogs, people, and vehicle distractions.
Vehicle loading and unloading
Youtube graduation video demonstrating proofing achievements.
2 hrs - private go home session at the end ensures a smooth transition from our home to yours!

REQUIREMENTS

6+ months old (in-tact dogs, in-heat females, and all breeds allowed)
Please budget for the cost of a high quality e collar($169) and prong collar($32). Various high quality options to be purchased at Fetchers. If you are considering hiring us but are unsure about e-collar training tools or want to learn more please call us.
A non refundable training ticket will be sold to hold your spot. 1 hr sessions are prepaid at $120 and are non refundable.
Vaccination records showing current rabies, distemper and bordetella to be emailed over to fetchersfm@gmail.com prior to reservation.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring – Food (or we have some for $2/day), collar (or we provide one for $3/day), and a leash.
Don’t bring – Bowls, raw hides, kennels
Optional – toys, bed, blankets, chewing treats, or anything to make your dog’s stay more comfortable.

Hi! My name is Kati Thom and I am the Head Trainer here at Fetchers! This photo is of Otto, my one-year old German Shepard, and I. I also have a Golden Retriever named Arlo. I have been training dogs for a total of four years and have been working at Fetchers for two years. I continue my education as a trainer by attending seminars and reading books. From a young age I have loved all dog breeds. I enjoy watching videos of owners training and teaching their dogs, which is what inspired me to want to become a professional dog trainer at a young age. A challenge that I face is time. If I had all the time in the world, I would help out every dog in the Fargo-Moorhead area. One of my biggest passions is participating in dog sports. Otto and I are currently training together to compete in our PSA-PDC, which is a bitework sport. My biggest goal as a professional trainer is to one day take in a couple of shelter dogs at our facility to help them learn basic obedience and prepare them for adoption. I am looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
