Fetchers was created by the people of Fargo for the people of Fargo. Starting smaller, Prairie Peak Kennels is the first location that opened in 2013 and is located just North of Alexandria, MN. The Fetchers team opened the new Fargo location with a vision of keeping dogs active within the city. Dogs at Fetchers are able to exercise, play, and socialize in large groups because we understand dog behavior and pack leadership. We are constantly striving to create a fun, active, and stimulating experience for your dog. The Fetchers story continues with the amazing team we have that gives your dog the highest care possible. One of the owners is Jack Lelwica, a professional dog trainer who has been able to help properly train the Fetchers team on behaviors found in a social dog environment. Shannon, the General Manager, is a licensed Vet Tech with many years experience in the dog boarding and daycare business and is able to train the Fetchers team to look for dog health issues quickly and early. Taylor, an Assistant Manager, has a background in veterinary science and 5 years of veterinary experience. She also is active in public relations and keeps our social media active for dog owners to watch and follow. Emily, an Assistant Manager, is our daily team support trainer for coaching and educating the team on proper and efficient ways to bring the energy of a social dog pack to a positive playful environment. What an amazing team of dog handler professionals we also have as well that are always striving to improve and grow in their skill set which provides the best experience for your dog! We look forward to meeting you and your dog!
I recently boarded my 2 small dogs over the 4th of July weekend. One dog is 1 year old and the other is 8 years old. I was nervous to bring my 8 year old dog to a boarding facility because his last experience did not go well. I picked him up and he needed to go the vet and wasn’t feeling well. After picking up my dogs after a few days at Fetchers I couldn’t have been happier. They were happy, tired and they both did very well. I’m also glad that they were able to be kenneled together. I really appreciate how much outdoor and play time they get. I was almost offended because my dogs didn’t seem to miss me as much as I thought they would! They will definitely be going back.
