1. First timers will be asked to fill out a new Gingr profile before they can make a reservation/appointment.
2. All owners are required to sign our Grooming Consent Form on their first appointment with us. We strive for open and clear communication regarding all services.
3. Leashes are required to enter and exit the building and must be a short standard slip lead or leash. Retractable Leashes are not allowed.
4. Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, Fetchers will immediately seek professional veterinarian attention for any dog. All attempts will be made to contact the owner in the event of an emergency.
5. Coat Condition: Fetchers puts my pet’s comfort above all else. In the event that a dog’s coat is matted, the groomer may have to shave the mats out rather than perform a painful de-matting procedure. If a dog is severely matted, there is an increased risk for clipper burn or cuts to occur. All attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme mat conditions, it is unavoidable. Matted dogs take additional time to groom so there will be an additional fee added on to the regular grooming price if a dog’s coat is matted. Dogs may not be 100% dry upon pick-up, but every effort is made to dry dogs completely.
6. Health: Grooming can be stressful to some dogs and it is the duty of the owner to inform the groomer if his/her dog has any health conditions or any stress related issues prior to grooming as well as the dog’s ability to have nails trimmed. It is necessary to have my pet up to date on all vaccinations prior to every grooming. Some ear cleaning and nail trimming services may be limited due to ear infections or elongated quicks. The owner must provide up-to-date Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccination records before any services are performed for any dogs over 5 months old. Fetchers will not perform any services on a pet that under 10 weeks old, pregnant/nursing, under any type of sedation or had any vaccinations in the last 48 hours. It is the duty of the owner to inform the groomer if a dog has undergone any veterinary treatment in the last 2 weeks.
- Any female actively in heat during the groom will be charged an additional in heat fee.
7. Cancellation/late policy: Being on time regarding drop-offs and pick-ups is important for assuring dogs will be completed in the time allotted for them. If there is a need to cancel an appointment, it is the owner’s responsibility to do so at least 24 hours in advance of appointment start time to make the appointment time available for another client on the waiting list. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 60% of the base service value. Fetchers will not allow anyone to re-book with them if an owner has had 3 no-call/no-show appointments.
- A half-day charge will automatically be added to your reservation if your dog is dropped off more than 1 hour prior to the groom's start time as well as picked up more than 1 hour after the groom has been completed and a notification of completion has been sent.
- Any late appointment more than 10 minutes may be required to reschedule per groomer discretion or be subject to a $15 late fee.
- After 20 minutes, the groom will need to be rescheduled
8. Aggressive Behavior: The grooming process can and may be stressful on certain dogs. Dogs displaying aggression or acute nervousness take much longer to groom. If a dog reacts in an aggressive manner that requires him/her to wear a muzzle, groomer’s helper or extra staff to help manage him/her, an additional fee will be added on to the regular grooming price. Fetchers will stop services if a dog displays excessive aggression or nervousness at the groomer’s discretion, and that a prorated fee will be applied.

At Fetchers we provide balanced dog communication. This means when a dog is obedient, they are thriving and enjoying play from other dogs and given praise from staff throughout their day. When a dog is disobedient we will provide corrections to discourage this type of unacceptable behavior. One of the methods of discouragement is the e-collar. If our professional dog handling skills are not getting through to your dog, we may recommend that you seek training for your dog on an e-collar so we are better able to communicate with your dog in our lively, action packed environment.
Professional training is a requirement for proper conditioning of this tool and use at Fetchers. We require one of the following before bringing an e-collar to daycare:
1. Fetchers Five 1-on-1 Program with one of our Professional Dog Trainers.
2. Complete a Board and Train provided by Fetchers or Prairie Peak Battle Lake, MN where your dog will stay with us for three or more weeks to learn general obedience, on leash obedience, off leash obedience, including substantial e-collar conditioning.
3. Training from another accredited company or by another accredited professional trainer.
For the safety of your dog, we only allow the following e-collar approved brands at Fetchers:
- Garmin
- Sport Dog
- E-collar Technologies
- Dogtra
1. No e-collars will be used on dogs without owners consent and proper training.
2. If your dog has been through formal training, Fetchers may require an e-collar for participation in Social Daycare, Social Daycare Enrichment, and Private Enrichment.
3. If an e-collar is a requirement for your dog to participate in daycare at Fetchers and your dog does not come with it or it is not properly charged, your dog may be placed into our private care based on behavior. A private fee will then be applied to your bill based on Fetchers discretion.
4. Dogs wearing e-collars will be closely monitored by our trained staff members at all times to ensure collars are being used appropriately and responsibly.
Fetchers is an intense active environment like a child's birthday party that provides high levels of activity for your dog's benefit! Because of this, e-collar levels will generally be higher in order to communicate with your dog effectively.

We will improve the condition of the property with regards to the amount of dog waste that is present but do not guarantee that all poop will be found. Especially in long grass.
