ABOUT US

Jack Lelwica, the owner of Fetchers, began his dog training journey in 2010 with a $200 Craigslist ad online. In 2013, he and his wife Ashley Lelwica opened their first boarding and training location, Prairie Peak Kennels, now located and operating in Battle Lake, MN. Then, with the desire to help reach more dogs as Prairie Peak became successful, Fetchers was opened in 2018 to reach dog owners in the Fargo-Moorhead community. Fetchers has now welcomed more professional dog trainers to join the cause, building a dynamic and strong team to provide exceptional service. The Fetchers team members are committed to continuing their dog training knowledge and education all the time. We also host world-class trainers at Fetchers for seminars, ensuring the entire team stays at the forefront of dog training by learning from the best in the field worldwide. We have applied our training approach to all dogs we encounter which have totaled to over 7,000 dogs. Times that by the years we have been in service and we have applied our core training principles to over 320,000 daily dog encounters where we have seen one successful encounter after another with every dog we engage with using our training skills and techniques. This is one of the main reasons why Fetchers is as successful as it is today. Our experience is vast and there is truly nothing we can't help with. Every dog is unique, so we create personalized plans that build trust and freedom, improving your dog's obedience and cooperation with you both on and off leash for you to enjoy. We’ve helped dogs with behaviors such as anxiety, aggression, reactivity, jumping, chewing, and more, using a balanced approach of positive and corrective reinforcement. Our dedicated team coaches you through every step, ensuring a smooth transition from us to you. We look forward to working with you and your dog!

Madee and I chose the 4 week stay-training for these two hoodlums, and hands down (including every single cent it cost) it was the right decision! She quickly estabalished respect, gave solid boundaries while challenging their ever-growing curiosities and need to learn. It was the right balance for them to grow and begin to be welcomed socially into situations without taking the whole place down.

After they graduated, I took Madee up on a follow-up home visit and this was the icing on the cake! It helped tighten everything up and answered all of those little questions that I still had once we were home. We look forward to continuing this relationship as they grow with Madee and Fetchers.

Bug's obedience, attention, and fearfulness were major concerns before training, and the turn around is amazing. We enjoy walks as much as he does, rides in car great; he knows commands and can calmly lay in grass or even chases balls. We received great training from Madee to give us the tools to keep working on our relationship with Bugs.  Fetchers, Thank You!

We are so thankful for Madee’s hard work with Crosby! He is still the gentle, loving pup from before his training but now has more boundaries and skill!

You are a MIRACLE WORKER, I don't think I thanked you enough. Angus has been challenging me for sure but he's been able to ignore Roger and now listens to me!"
